The British Group is an extra-institutional collective of scholars interested in the early modern Atlantic world
The British Group holds an annual conference in September at a university in Britain, and provides a forum for the exchange of news and views about early American history, broadly conceived. Its purpose is to support research in the field, to provide a platform for young scholars, and to showcase new work, all in a friendly and welcoming environment. Membership of the British Group is free and inclusive, both within the British Isles and beyond. |
